CO-ED IPDP U8 - U15 (2012 - 2004)
INDIVIDUAL PLAYER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
North York Academy offers additional training to compliment a players team training. Our objective is to make our players think outside the box. We train in groups based on similar skill level. Each group has approximately 10-15 player to maximize repetition of the weekly theme. We understand that every player is unique and requires diverse training to reach maximum potential. We place athletes in groups with others that are of a similar level to allow for maximum development. Players can move from one group to another based on coach's assessment. The movement can be either up or down based on the skills being taught, trained and assessed.
The sessions will take place in October and November on Monday nights at Earlscourt Park turf field and St Basils indoor gym. At North York Academy we believe a player's technical ability is the result of their intelligence and understanding of the game. This is demonstrated by the players' ability to select the most suitable technique in response to each moment in the game, and to execute it successfully.
We want to instill the habit of resolving challenges with a purpose without making it a mechanical routine.
The program has two objectives:
1) Start to lose the ball less
2) Have the ability to create more
Our goal is to prepare players for the highest level, impress any who's watching our players play and develop players with a unique identity.
